Duties
Ø Requirements gathering, creating unit test cases, creating and executing unit test plans, testing, coding development, code maintenance, code promotion procedures, perform additional research as needed.
Ø In conjunction with the EMR vendor, creates modifications to the EMR software application
Ø Creates templates and reporting mechanisms to assist in managing the FHCs
Ø Identifies issues with data capture and makes enhancements to the process of data capture to enhance back-end reporting
Minimum work experience in the following area 3 – 5 years:
SQL 2000 and stored procedures required
Testing and quality assurance techniques required
Experience working in a care delivery environment such as a hospital or clinic required
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare billing practices required
Application Development in MS Windows desktop environment required
EMR/EPM application support (EMR –Electronic Medical Records) preferred
EMR Template Editor preferred
NextGen EMR experience preferred
MS Visual Basic preferred
MS Access preferred
Experience through all cycles of implementation
Experience in all phases of the SDLC, Production Support
· Required Skills: 3- 5 years of experience
SQL Stored Procedures
Knowledge of relational database theory
SDLC methodology
Developing and executing test plans
Code version control
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication
Ability to conform with established coding and documentation standards
