MOSS 2007 Architect (Minimum of 3 years SharePoint experience)
Required experience
Experience with MOSS 2007 site and architecture design.
Accreditation as a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist for MOSS 2007 strongly preferred.
Experience with the setup and configuration of a complex site architecture (medium server farm or larger).
Understanding/experience with key MOSS 2007 features such as:
Custom site definitions.
Creation and deployment of SharePoint features.
Deployment of custom and 3rd party webparts.
Visual design updates via Master Page and Pay Layout development and deployment.
Deployment of Enterprise Search, including creating custom search scope and indexing external content.
Knowledge of Universal Search through the integration of Google Search Appliance using SharePoint connector.
Security configuration, including the integration of LDEP groups, and use of SharePoint groups.
Security configuration for internet, intranet, and extranet environments using MOSS 2007.
Backup, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast paced team environment.
Excellent functional skills with strong attention to details and quality/cost control.
Knowledge of software life cycle development, testing and deployment processes.
Functions:
1. Works as a MOSS 2007 Architect to design, develop and support MOSS 2007 within the County environment
2. Interview appropriate County departments and individuals to develop appropriate design documents for implementation.
3. Setup and configuration of search across the County.
4. Work with the County infrastructure team for network configuration, hardware, and security needs.
5. Develop and deploy integration plan between MOSS 2007 and Netegrity.
6. Develop and deploy integration plan between MOSS 2007 and Peoplesoft.
7. Provide training and support to County representatives on administration and support processes.
8. Installation and configuration documentation.
9. Analyze business needs and recommend improvements to processes or configuration.
10. Resolve configuration related issues and escalate and follow-up on those not resolved.
